Here at Complete Home Care, we know your home or business is important to you, and we want to help you do what’s best for it. If your property has been vandalized with graffiti, you can turn to our experts to get the effective graffiti removal solutions you need. In this article, we’ll provide a brief overview of our graffiti removal process works.
- Applying Solvent- In order to remove the graffiti from your building, we will first apply a chemical solvent to the graffiti in order to dissolve the pigments. Which solvent we use will depend on the type of pigment that was used to vandalize your property—spray paint, for instance, responds to a different set of chemicals than permanent marker. Certain solvents, such as lacquer thinner, can also weaken or damage the paint under the graffiti, so we make sure to choose and apply our chemicals carefully to avoid messing up your paint job.
- Washing- Once the solvent has had time to go to work, we will start the next step in our graffiti removal process, which is to wash the surface. The graffiti pigments will now be loose and come away from the wall.
- Re-Painting- The third step in our graffiti removal process is to apply fresh paint to the area, when necessary. If the solvent damages your original paint or we aren’t able to get all of the stains off your building, we’ll paint over the area to restore your property to its original, clean appearance.
